‘Wasting while worrying’ – Food waste costing Aussies billions amid cost-of-living crisis

As supermarket prices soar and cost-of-living pressures mount, Australians are also unknowingly throwing money in the bin — literally.
CEO of Foodbank Australia, Brianna Casey, says food waste across the country totals $36.6 billion annually, with volumes large enough to fill the MCG up to ten times.
