WATCH | ScoMo surprises incredible 11-year-old Jack Berne live on-air
The Prime Minister has gone on The Ben Fordham Show to surprise an incredible 11-year-old boy who’s raised over $1.5 million for our farmers.
Jack Berne started Fiver for a Farmer last year, with the simple but genius idea of asking school kids and businesses to dress up as a farmer for a day and make a $5 donation.
He came into the studio to speak to Ben Fordham, whose whole team took part in the fun today.
But little did he know, there was someone very special on the line who really wanted to speak to him…
See the moment Scott Morrison called in
Prime Minister Scott Morrison was only too happy to surprise Jack and thank him for his incredible work.
“I’m very proud of him, I know you are too, Ben. The work you’ve done to support him as well, it’s tremendous.”
Jack was also invited to a meeting with the PM to share his experiences with our drought-stricken farmers… and he’s promised not to hold back!
“I don’t think they kind of expect it from me to ask questions! I guess it kind of gives them some sense of what we actually need to do.”
