A teenager has had the shock of his life, after a six-and-a-half-foot python wrapped around his leg while he was on the toilet at his Sunshine Coast home.

The 17-year-old used his other foot to force the snake off, before running out and locking it in the toilet.

Snake catcher Noosa’s Luke Huntley was called to retrieve the reptile, saying it was a very unusual incident.

He tells Ben Fordham how it all unfolded.

“He was very, very shaken up. It’s one of his phobias he told me.

“Fortunately for him, the snake didn’t bite and he managed to get out.”
