‘We are at war!’: Alan Jones says new leadership needed in bushfire crisis
Alan Jones says the bushfire crisis needs to be treated as a state of war with the former governor-general Sir Peter Cosgrove leading the fight.
NSW is suffering through an unprecedented bushfire emergency with whole towns burnt and an estimated half a billion animals lost.
Alan says national parks need to be maintained in order to prevent bushfires spreading.
“There’s an inferno out there waiting to go off and it went off. We shouldn’t imagine any of this was inevitable, it was preventable.
“We are at war! This is a war we’re having now with nature in its extremes.
“We need someone in to treat this as a war. Put someone who’s fought in a war in charge of all the resources available to us.”
