‘We are not going to give up’: AFP promise following Optus hack
The Australian Federal Police has assured Optus customers they are working with the telco after last week’s massive data breach.
Around 10 million current and former Optus customers had their personal details stolen, including driver’s licence and passport numbers.
AFP Commissioner Reece Kershaw told Ray Hadley that despite the challenges of finding the Optus hacker, they have no intention of giving up.
“A lot of us have families and friends impacted by this hack.
“We are not going to give up. We are going to be relentless in our pursuit, and in any future cyber crimes committed against Australians.”
