‘We need better planning’: NSW Government to double cycling lanes in Sydney
Business Sydney Executive Director, Paul Nicolaou, believes the cycling lanes in NSW are getting out of control and need to be better planned.
The NSW Government is planning to double the amount of dedicated cycling lanes in Sydney in the next five years, despite objections from local businesses and residents worried about construction impacts.
Mr Nicolaou told Joe Hildebrand that we need to “get rid of the frustrations” that people have about cycling paths.
“We’re keen to see the new government conduct a comprehensive review into cycleways in all our major cities,” said Mr Nicolaou.
“A Minister for Sydney would help for a better coordinated approach.”
