‘Weak leader’: Attorney-General grills Labor leader amidst plans of abolishing construction watchdog
Federal Attorney-General Michaelia Cash has slammed Anthony Albanese after it’s been revealed that Labor wants to abolish the construction watchdog.
It’s been revealed in the past day, that one of Labor’s key plans if they form Government, is to abolish the construction watchdog the Australian Building and Construction Commission.
Hence, Master Builders Australia will launch a national campaign against Anthony Albanese’s plan to scrap the construction watchdog and labelled it an act of ‘economic self-harm’.
The Coalition warned it would risk the economic recovery and push up the cost of vital infrastructure.
Industrial Relations Minister Michaelia Cash told Luke Grant that Albanese lacks the political fortitude to retain the ABCC in defiance of the powerful Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union.
Ms Cash said, “He will take policy direction from militant union leaders and give control of a vital sector in Australia.”
“Anthony Albanese is a weak leader.”
