“We’ve addressed it!’: Coordinator-General defends flood recovery rollout after recent criticism
Coordinator-General of the National Recovery and Resilience Agency Shane Stone has hit back at claims that flood recovery payments have been slow for affected LGAs.
It was announced today that Kyogle, Tweed, Ballina and Byron LGA’s will receive $2000 in additional disaster payments but the Former Chief Minister of the Northern Territory believes the rollout has been successful.
He told Jim Wilson, “This one of the quickest rollouts we’ve ever had”.
“The reality is you don’t just hand out money for the sake of handing out money!”
