‘What do you do?’: Ray Hadley slams ‘farce’ Resilience NSW’s Shane Fitzsimmons amid flood emergency
Ray Hadley has questioned what exactly Resilience NSW Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons does as NSW residents remain trapped by floodwaters.
Mr Fitzsimmons was appointed to the role by former premier Gladys Berejiklian. The move to create the $790 million Resilience NSW was opposed by then-treasurer Dominic Perrottet.
Ray says the role is a “farce”.
“Why do we need a Resilience commission when they don’t appear to do anything?
“I think Shane Fitzsimmons was a great RFS Commissioner but when he retired you can’t just create a position because he’s a good bloke.”
