Mark Latham has slammed Shadow Treasurer Chris Bowen after he announced today he will be running in the Labor leadership contest. 

The leadership is up for grabs after Bill Shorten announced he was stepping down when he lost what many deemed the “unlosable election”.

MP Anthony Albanese is running against Mr Bowen for the title.

But Mr Latham tells Ben Fordham the shadow treasurer was the real reason Labor lost the election.

“I mean what planet is Chris Bowen living on?

“He’s devised a 400 billion dollar tax increase plan that cost Labor the unlosable election.

“Surely Labor couldn’t go down the path of Chris Bowen, the bloke who burnt down their house has now turned up with a fire hose.”
