White or wrong? Pauline Hanson loses ‘okay to be white’ motion in parliament
Pauline Hanson has unsuccessfully moved a motion in federal parliament declaring, “it’s okay to be white”.
The One Nation Leader says “anti-white racism” is on the rise and insists it must be called out.
Senator Hanson put forward the motion asking the Senate to acknowledge:
(a) the deplorable rise of anti-white racism and attacks on Western civilisation;
and
(b) that it is okay to be white.
The motion was defeated 31-28 despite the support of government senators.
Senator Hanson tells Ben Fordham “I always have been against racism, right from the very beginning”.
Crossbench senator Derryn Hinch savaged Senator Hanson, saying she was locked in a race to the bottom of the sewer with Katter’s Australian Party member Fraser Anning.
Greens leader Richard Di Natale also had a crack at Senator Hanson, calling her out over “white privilege”.
But Senator Hanson has hit back, saying it’s “a load of rubbish and BS he put across the chamber to me”.
“I’m sick and tired of it and so are a lot of people. There is anti-white racism in our society.”
