Why Australian athletes will be kicked out of Olympic village earlier than ever before
Australian Olympic Committee President Ian Chesterman has defended the decision to boot athletes out of the Olympic village before the conclusion on the games.
Chesterman said the altered policy for the upcoming Paris Olympics would give all Australians athletes the best chance of success.

“The Olympics are becoming more sustainable so the athletes village is smaller (in Paris),” he said on The Olympics Today podcast.
“We’ve asked athletes competing later in the Games not to come in until later so those athletes competing (early in the Olympics) will have the best possible chance (of success).”
