The candidate for the NSW state seat of Strathfield, Bridget Sakr is ‘here for the community’ ahead of this weekends by-elections.

Ms Sakr told Jim Wilson, “I’m certainly here for the community, not for myself.”

Enduring grief from losing her 11-year-old child she said, “I can serve because of what I’ve gone through”.

“I can be that community representative that will actually be there to connect them with the services that are available.

“I want to have better mental health outreach for our community.”
