Winter is coming: Perisher blanketed in snow as cold snap heads for Sydney
The Snowy Mountains have been blanketed in snow, as a cold snap heads for Sydney.
Perisher Ski Resort has had a welcome 20cm of snow overnight, just two weeks out from their opening weekend.
We are blanketed in #snow this morning and it’s still #snowing ❄️❄️👏👏👏Guessing about 15cm so far @PerisherResort #perisher #themanhotel #season2019 #snowsearch pic.twitter.com/tqa39CVA9D

The cold weather is moving north and is set to hit Sydney at some point on Monday.
Overnight temperatures will drop as low as eight degrees in the city and three degrees in the south-west.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for damaging winds in the southeast of NSW.
Winds are expected to reach more than 125km/h.
It’s also snowing near Melbourne, with Macquarie Radio sent this footage from Gordon, near Ballarat.
