‘Within a whisker’ – Union and Government ‘almost’ had deal locked in to stop disruptions
The ongoing standoff between the NSW Government and the RTBU over pay and conditions has left Sydney commuters frustrated, with fresh strike threats reigniting public debate on union demands and government responses.
NSW Secretary of the RTBU Toby Warnes told Michael McLaren the government and the union almost had a 3-year deal locked in.
“We are so disappointed with the route the government went with on Sunday. We were within a whisker of striking a deal.”
