A Brisbane woman got the shock of her life when she woke to a huge python licking her face.

Sally Stent was fast asleep when she felt something strange touching her forehead.

Half asleep, she kept pushing it away until she opened her eyes and realised it was a python!

Thankfully, she managed to calmly get out of bed and call a snake catcher.

She tells Chris Smith the snake must have snuck into her bedroom in the early hours of the morning.

“What I heard from the snake catcher was it had just had a big meal and it came into the house between 2am and 7am.

“It found somewhere warm to digest its food and that was me!”

She tells Chris how the snake managed to sneak into the house.
