World Cancer Day: Push for equal access to care for all Aussies
The government is being called on to improve healthcare for Australians diagnosed with cancer to mark World Cancer Day.
About half of all Australians will experience cancer in their lives, be it through themselves or a loved one.
Cancer Council Australia Cancer Control Policy Director Megan Varlow told Mark Levy people in rural areas are suffering.
“The further you live from an urban area the more likely you are to die from cancer.”
