Police are searching for the residents of a home in Sydney’s south-west that has been destroyed by fire this morning.
Emergency services were called to the house on Cantrell Street at Yagoona at 4:40am.
The house was well alight when firefighters arrived, and took several hours to be brought under control.
The home has been completely gutted and police still haven’t been able to find the residents.
There are suggestions it may be a derelict house.
Once the scene has been declared safe, inspectors will enter the building and work out the cause of the fire.
Anyone who knows the residents’ whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
