Young gun Endycott finally gets call-up for Australia’s summer of golf
Australia’s latest PGA star is finally returning home for the summer of golf.
Harrison Endycott has enjoyed a solid performance for his first five tournaments overseas, including a top-10 PGA Tour finish in Bermuda.
The young gun was made to sweat on whether he’d receive an invite for the Australian PGA and Australian Open, with Ray Hadley even taking a swipe at officials back in September.
“I’m delighted to say Golf Australia has woken up to itself and invited this young man back to Australia for some very important tournaments,” Ray said this morning.
Speaking to Ray from Georgia in the US, the 26-year-old golfer said he was ecstatic to be returning Down Under.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve played down there so it’s really, really exciting.
“I’m bringing my caddy down, as well, so he’s never seen Australia, so I’m trying to get him to have the old Aussie experience as well.
“It should be a good couple of weeks!”
