Your chance to see Sydney’s brand new stadium… for FREE
Sydney’s brand new, $300-million stadium will throw open its doors to the public this weekend.
After just two-and-a-half-years of construction, the 30,000-seat Bankwest Stadium is complete and ready for its first inspection.
This Sunday, the facility will open for a free community open day, with club legends, mascots and players from the Parramatta Eels, Wests Tigers, Western Sydney Wanderers and NSW Waratahs all on hand.
The Continuous Call Team’s Mark Levy went behind the scenes at the stadium to give fans a taste of what to expect.
The Continuous Call Team will also be on hand for the stadium’s official opening on Easter Monday as the Parramatta Eels take on the Wests Tigers in the NRL.
Ray Hadley speaks to Bankwest Stadium CEO Daryl Kerry who says, “people are going to be blown away when they see it.”
“I still walk in every day and it takes your breath away a little bit.”
