The Daughter-in-law of veteran Bernard O’Reilly has been reunited with his long-lost WWII medal in the 2GB studio.

Jim contacted Carol Caleo yesterday after she originally found the medal in her home.

Carol wanted to reunite the medal with its owner’s family and had the chance today.

Bernard’s daughter-in-law Margaret O’Reilly told Jim Wilson she is eternally grateful.

“If it hadn’t been for Carol’s son wanting to wear medals, it may have sat in the box for another 10 years,” she said.
